Q. What are energy service companies (ESCOs)?
A. ESCOs are Energy service companies, which can compete to sell you electricity and gas. Dynamic PL is an ESCO offering electricity and natural gas to residential, commercial and industrial customers throughout New York State. We are committed to providing customers with outstanding service and reasonable energy prices.
Q. How can Dynamic PL reduce my monthly bills?
A. Deregulation allows companies like Dynamic PL to buy energy wholesale from competitive providers and pass the savings along to customers.
Q. Other than per kilowatt hour or per therm charges, is there any customer charge or additional charges?
A. Other than taxes, when applicable, there are no additional Dynamic PL charges.
Q. If I switch, who will deliver my electricity and gas?
A. Your current utility will continue to deliver your electricity and gas.
Q. Will the reliability of my energy service change?
A. If you switch your supply service to Dynamic PL, electricity and gas will continue to be delivered safely and reliably by your current delivery company which is still regulated by the Public Service Commission.
Q. What happens if I have an emergency or outage?
A. Your existing local electric and Gas utility company will continue to provide all services to maintain your supply, including outage repair.
Q. Will different companies need to put up power lines in my neighborhood?
A. No. The local electric utility company will continue to provide the delivery system. All suppliers will continue to bring electricity to your home using existing power lines.
Q. Is there a chance I will lose power when I switch companies?
A. No, there will be no interruption of service if you switch to an ESCO or from one ESCO to another.
Q. How will I be billed for service?
A. If you choose to buy electric and/or gas from Dynamic PL, you will continue to receive one bill from your current delivery company.
Q. Can Dynamic PL shut off my power?
A. No. The control of your electric and gas services remains with your utility company.
Q. Is there a penalty if I decide to switch back to my utility or another ESCO for supply?
A. For customers on Dyanmic PL's variable month-to-month contract we only require 30-days notice and there is no penalty or other termination charges.
